Ingredients

  • 1 package Nilla wafers
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and salt.
  3. In a pot, heat the milk until it's almost boiling.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the milk, stirring constantly.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Slowly add the milk mixture to the yolks, then return to the pot.
  6. Cook until thickened, then stir in vanilla.
  7. Layer Nilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding in a dish. Repeat layers.
  8. Top with whipped topping and chill before serving.
