  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add it to the wet mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let the cakes cool before removing them from the pans.
  8. For the frosting, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
