- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cups biscuit dough
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Add carrots, celery, onion, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Shred chicken and return to the slow cooker.
- Add biscuit dough in spoonfuls and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, add a cornstarch slurry before adding dumplings.
