  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Add the softened butter and sugar, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can substitute half the granulated sugar with brown sugar.
