French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious combination of flavors featuring tender chicken, savory onions, and orzo pasta, all topped with crispy turkey bacon.

  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté onions in the same skillet until translucent.
  4. In a large casserole dish, combine cooked orzo, shredded chicken, sautéed onions, bacon, chicken broth, and seasoning.
  5. Mix well and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
