- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onions, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the egg noodles and cook for 7-8 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
- Reduce the heat and add in the shredded chicken, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Serve hot, topped with crispy turkey bacon.
Notes
- For a thicker soup, you can add a cornstarch slurry.
- Feel free to substitute the chicken with leftover rotisserie chicken.
