  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 8 sandwich rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the beef chuck roast.
  2. Place the roast in the crockpot and add the beef broth and sliced mushrooms.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  4. Remove the beef from the crockpot and shred it with two forks.
  5. Return the shredded beef to the crockpot and stir to combine with the juices.
  6. To serve, spoon the beef mixture onto sandwich rolls and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Serve with additional broth for dipping.
