  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup diced onions, for topping
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro, for topping
  • lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the seasoned beef in the crock pot, add beef broth, bay leaves, onion, and garlic.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  4. Remove the beef, shred it, and return it to the pot to soak up the juices.
  5. Warm the tortillas and fill them with the beef mixture.
  6. Top with diced onions, cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
