  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Thinly slice the potatoes and layer half of them in the baking dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour half of the mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle half of the turkey bacon and cheese over the layer.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, turkey bacon, and cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a bit of spice, add some paprika between the layers.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
