  • 12 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and drain excess fat.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning; stir to combine.
  5. Return the sausage to the skillet and mix well.
  6. Add the cooked rigatoni and Parmesan cheese; stir until combined and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, use hot Italian sausage.
  • Can substitute penne pasta if preferred.
