- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups biscuit dough
- In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Add onion, carrots, and celery to the pot, sauté until soft.
- Stir in chicken, broth, water, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add biscuit dough by spoonfuls to the pot.
- Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
- Stir in cooked bacon and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add fresh herbs.
