  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 pound sponge cake, cubed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with sugar and let them sit for 30 minutes.
  2. In a glass trifle dish, layer half of the sponge cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Add half of the whipped cream over the cake layer.
  4. Add half of the strawberries on top of the whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Drizzle with vanilla extract and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

  • For a richer flavor, use heavy cream for whipping.
