  • 2 cups diced potatoes

  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft.
  2. Add chicken, broth, and potatoes. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in carrots, peas, thyme, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Cook until vegetables are tender and chicken is cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, mix flour with a little cream to make a slurry, then add to the pot.
  6. Stir in the remaining cream and simmer until thickened.
  7. Serve hot, optionally with biscuits on the side.
