Cajun Potato Soup

A flavorful and creamy cajun potato soup, loaded with turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for comforting meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the pot, sautéing until translucent.
  3. Add diced potatoes and chicken ham, cooking for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and cajun seasoning, cooking until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with crispy turkey bacon.

Notes

  • This soup can be thickened by mashing some of the potatoes.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace turkey bacon with smoked tempeh.
