- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming, then gradually whisk it into the egg mixture.
- Cook the mixture on low heat until it thickens, then remove from heat and let cool.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold in mascarpone cheese.

- In a shallow dish, mix coffee and coffee liqueur.
