  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg and then stir in the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan.
